Domiciliary Care
Finding the right care can feel overwhelming — especially when it’s for someone you love. At Waincare, we make it simple. We provide a full range of home care and supported living services across London and Surrey, each one built around the person receiving it, not the other way around.
We know that good care is about more than getting tasks done. It’s about being treated with kindness, respected as an individual, and supported to stay as independent as possible — in the place you feel most comfortable, whether that’s your own home or a supported living setting.
Every one of our care plans starts with a conversation. We listen first, then build a plan around your routines, your preferences, and what matters most to you. Whether you need a few hours of support a week or round-the-clock care, our carers and support workers are here to help.

Personal Care
Personal care is where we started, and it remains what we do best. Everyday tasks like washing, dressing and getting ready for the day can start to feel difficult — and asking for help with them can feel even harder. Our carers approach personal care with patience, warmth and genuine respect, so you or your loved one never feel like a task to be completed.
We take the time to get to know you properly — your routines, your preferences, even the small things that make a big difference — and match you with a carer who understands them. The aim is always the same: to help you stay as independent as possible, for as long as possible, with support that feels dignified rather than clinical.
Our personal care includes support with:
- Washing and bathing
- Shaving and grooming
- Oral care
- Dressing
- Toileting and continence care
- Feeding and mealtime support
- Assistance with medication
- Getting up in the morning or settling at night
- Encouragement and support to maintain independence
Live-in Care
If you or your loved one needs care throughout the day and night, live-in care means never having to leave the home you know and love. A dedicated carer lives with you, providing continuous support while helping you maintain as much independence and normality as possible.
Our live-in carers are trained across all aspects of personal and practical care, including:
- Dressing and undressing
- Personal hygiene support
- Moving and handling
- Medication supervision
- Making and changing beds
- Meal preparation
- Toileting and continence care
Waincare is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission, so you can have complete peace of mind that your loved one is in safe, professional hands, day and night.
Palliative Care
Caring for someone with a terminal illness is never easy, for them or for the people who love them. Our palliative care is centred on comfort, dignity and quality of life — giving your loved one the compassionate support they deserve during this time.
Palliative care addresses physical, emotional, psychological and social needs, and can be provided alongside other treatments and therapies your loved one may be receiving. Throughout, we listen closely to you and your family, adjusting our support as things change, and offering reassurance as well as practical care.
Palliative care can be provided at home, in a care home, or in hospital — wherever is right for your family.
Night Care
Sleeping Night A carer sleeps at the property and is on hand if needed. This option suits those who don’t require regular overnight support but feel more at ease knowing someone is there — helping reduce anxiety and improve sleep. If support is needed more than twice a night, we’d recommend moving to a waking night service instead.
Waking Night: A carer stays awake and alert throughout the night, ready to help whenever it’s needed. This is the right option if you or your loved one wakes frequently, needs regular repositioning, requires medication at set times, or needs support getting to the bathroom during the night. Your carer is there beside you for the whole night, providing expert, attentive support exactly when it’s needed.
Companion Care
Not every need is physical — loneliness and isolation can affect wellbeing just as much. Our companion care is there for people who are otherwise healthy and happy to remain at home, but would benefit from regular company, conversation, and connection.
We match you with a companion carer suited to your personality and interests, and build a service around what helps you feel most supported — whether that’s a chat over a cup of tea, help getting out and about, or support with everyday tasks alongside the company.
Hospital Discharge
Helping you get back on your feet
Coming home after a hospital stay can be daunting, particularly if you’re not quite back to full strength. Our hospital discharge service is designed to make that transition smooth and safe, reducing the risk of an unnecessary readmission.
We build a support plan focused on helping you regain your confidence and independence at your own pace, in your own home — with the right level of care in place from the moment you walk through the door.
